Jicon Is A Modern Porcelain Brand Launched By 13Th Generation Ceramicist Hajime Imamura In Collaboration With The Designer Masanori Oji. The Imamura Family Has Been Creating Traditional Porcelain At The Touetsugama Kiln For 350 Years And Is Based Today In Arita, Saga Prefecture.

The Brand Name “Jicon” Is Derived From “Ji”(Porcelain) And “Con”(Modern Times). In Buddhist Context, “Jicon” Denotes “What Must Be Done In The Present Moment”.
